Quantyx, leading risk management and valuation consultancy for alternative investment management companies, is looking for an Intern to join its Infrastructure Team. The Team is responsible for carrying out financial and business analyses of investments executed by Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) in the highly dynamic and bustling Real Assets asset class, with a focus on all key dynamic sub-sectors (e.g. Infrastructure, Mobility, Renewables), both greenfield and brownfield, both in the domestic market and abroad.

The candidate will have an exposure across the full risk activities by working closely with team colleagues as well as our clients (i.e. Investment Team of AIFs). In more details, the candidate will be involved in the following tasks:

  • risk analysis and risk assessment of new investment carried out by AIFs through AIMFD compliant risk models;
  • periodic risk monitoring of AIFs and their portfolios risk profile through AIMFD compliant risk models;
  • analysis of the operational risks of AIFs;
  • evaluation of portfolio assets (unlisted assets) through main valuation methodologies (e.g. Market Multiples, DCF, DDM);
  • benchmarking analysis with respect to the AIFs market positioning;
  • building, running and periodic fine-tuning of risk models.

The job position is targeted at MScs students (already attending the second year) and recent MScs graduates.

It is required:

  • strong academic background and analytical skills;
  • strong knowledge of valuation methodologies and corporate finance;
  • basic knowledge of closed-end AIFs functioning;
  • strong written and oral communication skills;
  • strong team working ability and attitude;
  • commitment to stand out and maintain high professional and ethical standards;
  • highly motivated, proactive and resilient individual;
  • staying abreast of key market trends / dynamics across the asset class and its sub-sectors;
  • native in Italian, fluency in English;
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, Power Point).
